Yes it can.
I strongly recommend an evaluation by a foot and ankle specialist who will obtain a thorough history from you.
Possibly a factor of hip muscle weakness.Altered walking patterns can also cause hip area stress.
Yes, it can. The question that I would ask is, why do you have bilateral peroneal nerve issues resulting in foot drop? Is it something higher up in the lower spinal cord? I would speak with the orthopedist who is treating your foot drop for its cars and why and how long you can expect for it to get better.
Thank you for asking me and I wish you well.

Be well,

Yes it can if you walk with an abnormal gait. A physiatrist or p.m. and our doctor can evaluate this for you. I would imagine you use braces on your ankle.
Hello sorry to hear about your foot drop. Hopefully it will resolve. Yes it can cause back, hip and knee problems. Best you can do is try to walk normal as possible and maintain good range of motion and strength best possible. Good luck.
A true foot drop will be caused by weak muscles or possible nerve injury. This can cause some hip pain. I recommend you schedule an appointment with a foot and ankle surgeon (podiatrist) for evaluation and treatment options
Yes. Foot Drop is a neurologic problem. It can absolutely affect the hips and there may be a more severe neurologic problem affecting the muscles and stability of your knee, your hip, your pelvis and low back that is contributing to your foot drop. You should have an EMG/NCV study by a neurologist, and you should likely be wearing a brace for stability of the foot drop. You should see a well-trained foot and ankle specialist and a Neurologist in your area.
