Frustrated with unusual medical workup?

I am currently undergoing an investigational workup for chronic fatigue, GI issues involving stomach pain, diarrhea w/ excessive gas and bloating, and severe neutropenia (neutrophils <800, dipping below 500 at times). I received my EBV test and results as follows: EBV IgM <36.0, EBV IgG 42, EBVNA 53.2...Could this be causing my symptoms? Do I have recurrent or chronic EBV?

The GI issues started almost 2 years ago. The pain is there daily - usually, I sit on the toilet and "Try" - mostly producing large amounts of gas, but only stool half of the time. My stomach always feels full and bloated, it's never a "Calm" feeling in there. Description: It's usually sharp like I have an immediate need to have a BM.

I have h/o gastric cancer, colon cancer, GERD pretty consistent on my Mom's side. I've been in and out of my PCPs office and the ED for 2 years with these same symptoms. Even weirder my labs have shown NRBC (nucleated RBCs) and just weird stuff. I have the EBV results, I tested +Rotavirus antigen (I'm a 22 yo male and no one in my house is sick - 2 kids, 1 adult, besides me.

I am have had trouble with jobs due to constant/frequent bathroom trips - actually lost 2 jobs in the last 2 years. My fiance' is tired of carrying the weight, and I'm tired of feeling bad. I'm ONLY 22.

Focusing on the GI symptoms of diarrhea, pain, gas and bloating, these are very common and are usually from a benign cause like irritable bowel, carbohydrate malabsorption, etc. The neutropenia might be unrelated. You need to have a thorough history and physical done by a GI doctor to try to make a diagnosis to help with the GI issues. An inflammatory GI problem should be ruled out.
