“Growth hormone?”
I'm an 18 year old female and I am rather short for my age. As a result, I am very self-conscious about this. I have done research and found growth hormone pills that apparently will help adults to grow taller. I wanted to get medical advice before I started taking the pills. Can some growth hormone pills help increases my height even if I'm over 18?

Females usually reach their adult height around the age of 16 years, so you may be as tall as you will get. However, if you are going to do this, before starting HGH pills I would recommend seeing an Endocrinologist to check for Thyroid, Pituitary, or Adrenal gland dysfunction. Since HGH is produced in the pituitary gland.
Hello, females do continue to grow beyond the age of 18, even if just a little bit. However, seeing an Endocrinologist would be the safest way to do this. They can find out if there is a medical reason you have short stature, which may need to be addressed. If not, they can guide you as to the safety of using pills and how effective they will be.
No, your growth plates are already fused, there are no benefits at all, it is a waste of money.
Growth hormone or even the growth hormone releasing supplements only affect height growth if your bone growth plates are still "open" or active. Usually, in females by age 18, the growth plates are matured and closed. If they are closed, growth hormone will have no effect on height. A patient specific determination can be made with an X-ray. This would determine whether the bone growth plates are open and active or closed/matured.
