“HIV test?”
I got a rapid test for HIV, which came as reactive. They asked for the confirmatory test and It came as nonreactive. My only partner in the last months and years was my husband, I asked him to get tested but we still don’t have his results. I need help to understand if this can be a false positive, or if it is important to get tested one more time. If it’s the case of a false positive, Should I be worried about any other kind of problem that could interfere with this test?

There can be false positive HIV screening tests because of antibodies to other antigens. So HIV infection is unlikely here.
