LASIK or PRK can treat many levels of refractive error. Very high error may be too risky. Low error within reason can almost always be treated. It depends on your overall eye health, a stable refraction, and corneal health and thickness. These are all determined with an evaluation.
Hello, thank you for your question.
In general, LASIK is indicated for anyone who has a prescription from -12.0D to +5.0D with no more than 5 diopters of astigmatism. Your prescription needs to have been stable for at
least one year, and you need to be evaluated with some testing to make sure you’re a good candidate, and aren’t prone to any complications or bad side effects after. As long as you meet those requirements, and are unhappy with your vision and would like to make it better, then you’re likely to benefit from laser correction surgery.
Thanks, and hope that helps.

Anything over 1 diopter where glasses are required for much of the time is a reasonable starting point though usually double that level is adequate to start a conversation with your ophthalmologist regarding LASIK
You are too young to get it at this time wait until you are 24, your eyes are still growing and will undo the surgery
There are many factors that need to be taken into consideration to help determine if you are a good candidate. It is best to confirm with your doctor if you are a eligible for laser eye surgery.
