I have a disc hernia in my lower back. How can I sleep with a herniated disc in my lower back?

Usually, the best sleep position for someone with herniated disc is the fetal position. That is, you lay on your side in a slightly curled position.
While this is the most common position, it is not necessarily the best for you. In most cases, any comfortable position, where the pain is stopped or lessened, is the best.

can sleep how you have always slept. if it bothers you then sleep on your back with a pillow under knees, or if you are a side sleeper sleep with a pillow between your knees.

The answer I give to my patient is for them to get comfortable. Ideally, sleeping on your side with a pillow between your knees almost in a fetal position is the best, but sometimes not attainable. If you lie on your back then put the pillow under your knees to take out the slack from your knees and keep your back on the floor. Icing will help too!
