“How could I be able to tell at home that my knee cap is broke or fractured?”
I was hit in my knee cap pretty had which left a pretty deep gash.. it’s been three days now and my knee is very swelled, bruised and hurts pretty bad.. I haven’t went to hospital yet because I wasn’t really sure if they could do anything for it and if it was even broke.. how could I tell? It’s been three days and it’s only gotten worse

Depending on how much trauma you sustained, I wouldn't suspect a fracture based upon those pictures...I suggest ice and elevate a few more days. try to avoid locking the leg out as this will prolong the healing. keep the leg slightly flexed. Swelling after a week or so that does not go away...may have to see your Doc.
