Rheumatologist Questions Knee Problems

Can my husband play cricket again after knee ligament tear surgery?

My husband had a ligament tear in his knees after a fall while playing cricket. He underwent surgery and six months after the surgery he is much better. He wants to resume his play now, but I am extremely worried. Can he play again?

Consult the surgeon and they will guide you and counsel you
Hi,

He can play cricket again but make sure he does stretching exercises focusing on Quadriceps, hamstring and calf muscles definitely before and also after playing cricket. Also he should be doing regular knee stretching and Quadriceps strengthening exercises, at least 30 mins everyday.. Another recommendation will be to wear knee brace for support while playing cricket. Hope this helps.
Yes, but he needs physical therapy to strengthen the muscles, and follow the Orthopedist's instructions.
