“How do you diagnose Celiac?”
I have stomach pain after eating gluten-containing foods. How do you diagnose Celiac?

Diagnosed thru blood tests and biopsy of intestine. Contact your PCP.
Celiac disease is diagnosed in 2 steps:
1. Blood test for transglutaminase antibody.
2. If the blood test is positive, then do EGD (upper endoscopy) to biopsy the duodenum.
The above can only be done in people that are actively consuming gluten.
