How do you know if your body is aligned?

I am a 29 year old male. I wonder how do you know if your body is aligned?

Pain and dysfunction
Oftentimes, you may not know! Most people will need an adjustment (of some sort) at least once a month. Only because most people don't live in a bubble ... meaning you may sleep in a bad position, lift something in the wrong way, play too rough, etc. And sometimes by the time that misalignment shows up as a persistent pain (all day/every day), it has caused the body to attempt to repair it on its own via inflammation and muscle spasm, which, if left untreated, can lead to osteoarthritic changes in the affected joint(s)! Think of it like having a cavity in a tooth ... you may not realize that you have one (without seeing a dentist), and by the time you do begin experiencing pain, the problem has been there for a long time!

Hi, I am Dr. James! I myself am a chiropractor and do not know if my body is in alignment or out of alignment unless they lay down on the table and get checked by another chiropractor. Which I do regularly!

Jesus loves you and so does Dr. Jim!
That's a tough question to answer. What comes to mind is that most people have no idea whether their body is off or not unless they get really sick or have a bad accident. Here's my suggestion: get a referral from a trusted source and go get yourself evaluated by a recommended chiropractor in your area. There are 3 types of care:

1. Acute care for a problem
2. Repair care to make sure the corrections made stay
3. Maintenance care to keep you in good shape moving forward

If you're not having any pain or disability problems currently, I would say maintenance care would be best for you. You and your new chiropractor can determine the best frequency for your needs. Here are a couple of links to help you find a chiropractor in your area if you cannot get a referral in any way:

The best way to know if your body is in alignment is to get a Chiropractic examination. This will include many tests which will reveal any misalignments or dysfunction.
