It can absolutely be fixed. If you were a patient at my clinic, I would have you undergo a trial of conservative care (4-6 visits) with chiropractic and physical therapy before ordering an X-ray. In certain cases, arthritic change to the acromion (the very edge of your shoulder) can impede muscle function and in that case surgery would be a viable option, followed with physical therapy!
