wear UV protective sunglasses and a wide brimmed hat. And wear sunscreen!
Wearing good quality, name brand sun glasses when outdoors should give good UV protection.  Avoid no-name cheap Asian imports.  In the past, some sunglass materials looked dark but actually transmitted a fairly large percentage of UV light. If you are concerned about UV exposure indoors, you may request UV absorbing lenses for your regular spectacles.  They may have the slightest hint of a straw-brown color but do not interfere with normal color vision, and they only cost a little more than ordinary clear spectacle lenses.

Use sunglasses that have ultraviolet filters and use protective lenses for welding and sun lamps.
