I have gum recession and want to have surgery. How effective is gum surgery for gum recession?

Yes, a gum graft can be very effective. I would only go to a Periodontist for this procedure though. I also generally recommend going to a non-group practice where doctors come and go frequently. Go to a Periodontist who has their own practice. Better follow-up and long-term care.
