I would say allow yourself the opportunity to "walk before you run." Start with softer foods. As you feel more comfortable, you may progress stepwise to firmer foods. Let your comfort be your guide. It is important to chew with both sides at the same time; this will make the dentures more stable and allow them to be fully seated, or fully on. Thank you for your question.
This varies depending on individual circumstances. Generally it takes some time for your mouth to adjust to dentures and if you had teeth taken out on the same day you received your dentures, it is best to start with a soft diet as your gums are healing. Overtime you can work your way back to a normal diet as you become more comfortable with your dentures and in the case of having teeth removed, give yourself some time to heal at least a week, but this could be longer in individual cases and circumstances.
I all depends on how stable the dentures are. Start with small bites and develop the skills needed to eat with dentures. It is different than having your teeth. Try to eat with food on both sides a the same time.
