After an eyelid lift or a blepharoplasty, you will likely see the results the same day. Although some swelling may occur, the improvement is usually visible immediately and becomes more apparent as the swelling reduces.
Results show within a few days after the initial swelling. Takes several weeks to see end result depending on extent of the procedure.
Initial results are seen immediately but due to swelling and some bruising it can take 6-8 weeks to see the final result.
Thank you for your question.
To answer your question directly, it takes 3 to 6 months to really see the results. It depends on the particular patient and the procedure done. The healing process varies a lot. I try not to injure the soft tissues and control the bleeding without so much cauterization and minimize the damage to the skin.
Normally you may have swelling for the first few days; if you have bruises, it takes a week or two to resolve. I do remove sutures that I do to close the skin in a week or so. You look pretty OK in 2 to 3 weeks. Be patient. If there is a adverse problem or complication, especially aesthetic concerns, we can always deal with it, since I do it conservatively and can improve the results later if we need to.
You should see the results right after surgery although edema will resolve in a few weeks. Dr G
