That depends totally on what the procedure was. Most stitches can be removed 7 to 10 days after surgery. Sometimes up to 14 days.
This depends on the surgical site, but depending on wound healing, 5-7 days. We usually leave staples for 14 days.
It depends on the location of the incision and the type of sutures. Often, dissolving sutures and/or skin glue are used and don't need removal. Stitches or staples typically should be removed in 10-14 days, but may vary depending on the surgeon. Facial sutures should come out sooner at 4-5 days and areas near or at joints may need to stay in longer. Ask your doctor for specifics.
