Most people have 4 heart valves and their severity is graded from mild, moderate to severe dysfunction. The survival rate depends on the cause for the valve dysfunction, if symptoms are present or not and the effect the valve dysfunction have on the heart size, function and other organs like the lungs and kidneys.
For example, patients diagnosed with aortic valve stenosis have an approximately 50% 2 year survival if not treated.

I don’t think there is an answer to that question because you can live for a long time with medications and valve repair or replacement. There is good care out there.
Good luck.
Good luck.
That sounds like an easy question but in fact is a very complex question to answer. There are many factors that go into predicting that.
What type of valve problem is it?
Which valve?
Are there any other problems with the heart?
How severe is the problem?
Does the patient have any other medical problems?
Is the patient's family history?
Does the patient have any kind of adverse environmental exposure (smoking etc.)
Because of all of these questions, it is best to consult a cardiologist or heart surgeon and discuss the entire picture before any kind of reasonable estimate could be reached.
