How long do veneers last?

I got veneers on my front teeth. How long do veneers last?

Every provider may have a different answer. It also depends on what type of veneer. If it is a Lumineer which is bonded to enamel, it will last longer. Nonetheless about 10 years. Best,
Depends how you take care of them. I have seen anywhere between 5 to 20 years
On average the research shows 5 years. However, veneers can last until there is a problem with them. I have patients with veneers for over 30 years. Veneers can fracture or come un-cemented as the most common problems with veneers.
Longevity is related to how well you take care of them. Brush, floss and get your professional cleanings. Your teeth can still decay if you don't floss. Get a night guard if you are a grinder. Don't eat things that are contraindicated. Wear a mouth guard for contact sports. Get Outlook for iOS<https://aka.ms/o0ukef>
It depends on a number of factors. How clean do you keep your teeth? How acidic is your diet/ oral environment? You need to brush thoroughly twice daily and floss nightly to keep plaque at bay and prevent cavities. Acidic things can etch the porcelain, so things that stain a white countertop could then stain your laminates. Please do not do things like open bottle caps or bite into bones or pits with your teeth - you could then chip or break your laminates. It would be an excellent idea to use a nightguard so that you don't damage your porcelain at night. If you have any questions or concerns, please ask your dentist. Good luck, and use them in good health.
