How long do x-ray images take to be read?

I am a 45 year old female. I want to know how long do x-ray images take to be read?

Depends on how busy the radiologist is. 5 minutes to 4 hours depending on how emergent.
Reading time all depends on the type of examination being interpreted. Plain films, nuclear studies and ultrasound, are the easiest to read. these could take only a few minutes. CT and MRI require significantly more time, being more complicated.
Stat - Within an hour
Outpatient - Can take days

Sometimes, if there are comparison studies that need to be obtained, even longer.
An X-ray of a single body part can be read within minutes after acquisition of the images by the reading radiologist as long as they’re hung properly and taken with correct exposure (assuming they are acquired digitally and sent to the radiologist digitally).
