How long do zirconia crowns last?

I will get zirconia crown next week. Is it better than ceramic crowns? How long do zirconia crowns last?

The hope when they are placed is they can last the rest of your life. In school the common number thrown around for crown restoration longevity was twenty years. Insurance companies put a 5-8 year life on crowns. The most common cause for failure of zirconia crowns is recurrent decay If you floss and brush daily as directed, drink water between meals, visit your dentist every 6 months for recare appointments, there is good reason to believe a zirconia crown can last the rest of your life
The zirconia is the strongest material. Average life on dental work is about 20 years. But you can make it last longer by brushing well and routine hygiene visits, because the margins of the crown can decay
Zirconia crowns are stronger than porcelain/ceramic crowns. They are typically used in back or molar teeth.

Zirconia crowns are ceramic crowns. There is no metal in Zirconia crowns. They will last until they fracture.
