How long does Invisalign take?

I am a 40 year old female. I want to know how long does Invisalign take?

Invisalign times vary on the difficulty of the case. The time can be as short as six month to as long as two years. Your best bet is to go into your Invisalign provider for an evaluation on the time. Many offices offer the consultation for free!
It depends on how complicated your case is, and everybody is different. I would recommend going for an orthodontic consultation and being evaluated by a professional to know how long your case will take.
Typically, Invisalign, or clear aligner treatment, takes 6-18 months to complete, depending on the severity of the problem that needs to be corrected and the treatment goals the patient and the orthodontist agree on. Other factors that determine the length of treatment are: compliance with wearing the aligners full time, keeping all appointments, maintaining ideal oral hygiene, and limitations of clear aligners to achieve certain tooth movements. Please see your local orthodontist to see if clear aligner treatment would be a good treatment option for improving your smile and bite and achieving your goals.

It really just depends on your particular bite and biology, and the movements that you need to get your goals accomplished. There are also different appliances and techniques that can accelerate orthodontic treatment (whether with braces or Invisalign) so you would probably be best served to schedule a consultation with an orthodontist in your area!
Invisalign and braces both move teeth about 1mm per month. If there are lots of movements, or long movements, treatments may take as long as 3 years. If only small or simple movements are required, some treatments can be done in as little as 3 months. To find out how long your treatment might take, contact a board certified orthodontist at Americanboardortho.com on the Orthodontist locator tab.
That’s difficult to answer. It all depends on the severity of the problem. Could be just a few months to a couple years or more.
Hello,

Every Invisalign case is different depending on the severity of the malocclusion. Our average case takes 6 months.
Thanks!
