I will have a colon biopsy. How long does a colon biopsy take?

There are many factors that play into this type of procedure and how long it takes. It can take on average 15 to 30 minutes from start of anesthesia to finish.
Not sure that I understand your question, but most colon biopsies are done during a colonoscopy which usually takes 10-15 minutes to complete.
Colonoscopy with Biopsy can be up to 5 hours, depends on difficulty of colon anatomy.
It depends on how good of a prep you do, how facile the physician is and how tortuous your colon is. The only thing you control is the prep so make sure you follow those directions completely to make the procedure more effective. In general this procedure can take anywhere from 20 min to over an hour. You will be sedated so it will feel like no time at all for you.
