Colon biopsy is usually done during Colonoscopy, outpatient diagnostic
procedure. This procedure doesn’t require general anesthesia, only IV
sedation, or monitored anesthesia care.
The procedure takes about 30 minutes, patient can be discharged within 2 hours if everything goes smoothly, test result can take from two to 5 days.
Up to 6-8 hours.
