I will have a breast ultrasound. How long does an ultrasound of the breast take?

Usually less than 1/2 hour.
It depends on the technician and what the concern for the Ultrasound is. If it's a follow-up, it should take around 20 minutes. If it confirms a suspicious diagnosis, the area of focus will take 10 minutes, and screening other sites may add another 20 to 30 minutes.
