It depends on the cause of the loose tooth. A loose tooth is a sign of disease and/or trauma most frequently!
What made it loose in the first place ? Trauma? Periodontal disease? If you have bone loss it might not tighten up. If you have fractured the tooth or damaged the bone like a fracture of the jaw it might not tighten up. If you haven't already made an appointment to see a dentist you may want to ASAP. Assuming you want to keep your teeth that is.
It doesn't tighten by itself you have to get some treatments like SRP.
If the looseness is a result of extensive bone loss (Periodontitis), then never. If a front tooth was ‘bumped’ and it became loose, then with care, perhaps a few days to a week...?
Hi,

If a tooth is loose due to severe bone loss and attachment loss with no active infection then it might not likely to tighten back up. However, if a tooth is infected with active infection and still have good bone support, the ligaments surrounding are loosen and will be tighten up after an infection is removed/cleaned out.
We need to evaluate case by case.
Thank you.
This depends upon the reason for a tooth being loose. If your tooth is loose due to a traumatic accident, it may tighten up in a couple of weeks. If your tooth is loose due to periodontal disease it may never tighten up.
