“How long does it take for bronchitis to go away?”
My son has had bronchitis for about 3 weeks now. Even after completing his medication he still has some symptoms. How long does it normally take for bronchitis to go away?

Varies, about 3-6wks.
It can be 6 weeks before the cough is totally gone. Keep hydrated and avoid respiratory irritants.
It can takes weeks and weeks for the cough to resolve. If he isn't having trouble breathing and seems to be gradually improving, you may just need to be patient and give it more time. If he is having any trouble breathing or seems to be worsening or you are worried, he needs to be seen by your pediatrician again.
