About a week to be able to go back to work. Wound healing should be completed in about three months. GS
The thyroid operations are often done as a one day procedure and depending on the post-operative blood test most people go home the same day. The I have had some people return to full activity in a day but I usually recommend a week to 10 days after the procedure before returning to full activity.
Normally 3-9 months.
The time of recovery depends on the presence of potential complications.
Generally about 2-4 weeks.
