There’s no quick answer to this because the answer depends on size, location and type. Generally, cysts are removed by Dentists specializing in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery- are more aligned with the surgical / hospital protocol required for these procedures.
It depends on the type, size, and location of the cyst in your mouth.
If it is very large, or has caused damage, the surgeon may also remove some teeth, roots and a section of jawbone. Afterwards the cyst will be sent to a special pathologist for analysis. The whole procedure usually takes up to 1 hour.
