I want to get a gum graft surgery for my receding gums. How long is gum graft surgery?

TYPICALLY, ONE HOUR TO ONE HOUR AND A HALF. THE REAL QUESTION THOUGH IS HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE TO FEEL GOOD AGAIN AFTER THE PROCEDURE (USUALLY IT WILL FEEL AS PIZZA BURN FOR 2-3 DAYS, BUT WILL TAKE ABOUT 15 DAYS TO FEEL NORMAL AGAIN)
Gum graft surgery is a common procedure to address gum recession. It typically involves taking tissue from the palate or using a substitute grafting material to cover exposed tooth roots, which can improve oral health and reduce sensitivity. The duration of the surgery itself is relatively short, often completed within an hour, but the recovery period may last from one to two weeks, depending on individual healing processes. It's essential to follow your dental specialist's advice for post-operative care to ensure the best outcome.
Depends on extent of gum recession and periodontist. After surgery, typical healing duration is 2-4weeks.
The length of the surgery is dependent on the surgeon and the amount of gum tissue he is grafting. Usually in my office for 3 teeth of grafting, we schedule my surgeon 1 hour.
