Heart Stents are minimally invasive procedures that are usually performed within an hour or two in the Cath lab under conscious sedation in most of the cases. It has become an outpatient same day procedure for nonurgent elective patient cases.

It's not actually surgery in that they just poke a hole in your wrist. Takes about an hour or 2. Home next day.
