In most nonurgent elective cases, it has become a same day outpatient procedure where the patient will be monitored for few hours after procedure and will be discharged on the same day with instructions to follow on the procedure site and other symptoms like bleeding. In urgent or with sick patients, patient might have to be monitored from 24 to 72 hours after heart stenting procedure in a hospital setting.

Most times, heart attacks are treated with minimally invasive heart stenting procedures and or medical management and in few severe cases where patient may have multiple blockages of heart arteries, patient may need cardiac bypass open heart surgery.

Diet changes and other lifestyle changes are definitely an important part of the treatment for hypertension. Only in the initial or mild cases, such changes are alone enough to control the disease. In advanced stages of hypertension, it is important to treat with blood pressure medications to reduce and prevent the risk of heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, heart failure and other various complications in the future. Most often Hypertension doesn't cause any symptoms until it is too late where someone might have this life changing complications. It is advised for anyone to diagnose this condition early on periodic health check up with your primary care physician.

You can have food within few minutes after a CT scan involving contrast dye. Rarely patient may experience nausea or vomiting or minor allergies where patients may have to be monitored for an hour before they can safely resume their diet.

Heart Stents are minimally invasive procedures that are usually performed within an hour or two in the Cath lab under conscious sedation in most of the cases. It has become an outpatient same day procedure for nonurgent elective patient cases.
