Hello,

Everyone heals differently it can take from a week to 2 at most. I would contact your dentist regarding it if it's longer than 2 weeks.
It varies. Depends on whether it is a surgical extraction or a simple extraction. In any case, if painful for more than 7 days, schedule with your dentist for a re-evaluation visit.

Pain varies from individual to individual with any procedure and/or event. The unknown variable is what some perceive as pain while others perceive it as discomfort. With regard to the extraction of a tooth, some people may undergo the removal of four impacted wisdom teeth and have minimal discomfort while others undergoing an uncomplicated extraction may have significant pain. If you are experiencing significant pain 3-5 days after your extraction, you should contact your dentist who performed the procedure to determine if what you are experiencing is normal or not.
Pain for 1-3 days is normal
It is normal for your jaw to be sore for 3-5 days after a tooth extraction. if the pain lasts longer than 5 days, you should call your dentist and make an appointment to have it checked.
