Swelling after a bone graft should be minimal if it is done correctly. Generally, bone grafts are placed when there is an absence of infection. A course of antibiotics will be given if there was an infection prior to treatment. The tooth is then removed and the bone graft is placed. The combination of antibiotics treatment and safe removal of the tooth and debris will make the swelling of the area much more likely not to swell. The short answer is a day or two of swelling or not at all.
Swelling will last 3 or 4 days. Bone grafts might take 3 months to a year for osseointegration (bone to fuse with bone) to occur. Of course, all depends upon the surgery, location, and amount of grafting being performed. Your complete swelling may not resolve for a couple of weeks again depending upon the procedure.
