“How many acupuncture sessions are needed for allergies?”
I will have acupuncture treatment for my allergies. How many acupuncture sessions are needed for allergies?

It is hard to give a timeline, without knowing your specific symptoms and health history. Generally, acupuncture can help reduce acute allergy symptoms over the course of 4-6 treatments, but may take longer depending on your condition. Your acupuncturist should be able to give you a more accurate timeline for your treatment at your first visit.
There is no set number of treatments with acupuncture for allergies, or any other symptom for that matter. Each patient has to be evaluated and treated on an individual basis. My favorite treatment for allergies is NAET ( Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique.
That depends. Some people have seasonal allergies other have perennial ones. When chronic it will take much longer. you do have to treat the acute attack and have to strenghten the immune system at the same time.
I wish I could give you an exact answer, however, every human body is a little different and responds to the medicine in different ways. My general guidelines is that if this is an acute issue (less than 3 weeks) issues usually take between 5-10 weekly sessions to start resolving. More chronic issues usually take anywhere between 10 - 20 weekly sessions. I hope this helped to give you an idea of what you can expect. Please let me know if there are any other ways I can help!
Hi there. In my experience treating allergies that cause sneezing and itchy eyes, you may need 3-4 appointments. I'd highly recommend having cupping in addition to acupuncture. However if it's food allergies or other skin conditions, acupuncture may be able to reduce your symptoms but hard to get rid of it completely. Hope I answered your question.

How many treatments/how long undergoing regular treatments depends on the health and constitution of the patient. If weaker, it takes longer, and if not, faster. Younger people usually respond faster... and for longer periods of time.
Usually it would take 2-3 sessions per week for 4-6 weeks, possibly using herbs also. It would depend on your individual case as everyone is unique.
Are they seasonal? Most patients come twice a week if they can if not then once a week for about a month. Many patients continue to do weekly or bi-weekly as maintenance to keep the allergies from getting bad again
As long as the allergen is present (ie spring pollen) the patient will need frequent treatments to decrease histamine in response to the allergy.
Acupuncture treatment is always 12 per course. It is because acupuncturists are balancing energy levels in 12 meridians and thus need 12 treatments. Read more here: https://philaacupuncture.com/acupuncture-treatment/
There is no one answer for this, or anything acupuncture treats. It depends on the individual. There is a specific protocol for allergies, but it's a specialization not all of us have, is very expensive, and takes a lot of treatments. If your acupuncturist does that protocol, (I think it's called NAEL but I could be wrong) you will still need to be tested to see how many allergies you have and then they can give you a better idea of how many treatments you'll need.
It's almost impossible to predict how many treatments might be required to bring any given health issue under control for any given individual. The Chinese medical model is individualized, and everyone responds differently to treatment.
On top of that, acupuncture treatments are cumulative in their effects. To a point, more treatment gives better results.
There are a couple of general rules:
1. Patients need to be prepared to attend at least 3-4 treatment session before they decide whether or not acupuncture is working for them.
2. A full course of therapy is often in the 10-12 treatment range.
