How much time is there to reach Emergency Room after using epi pen(s) - severe peanut allergy

My 6-year-old granddaughter has a severe nut allergy - peanuts, etc. They are coming to visit and where we are there is a hospital 30 minutes away. If (god forbid) an anaphylactic shock reaction occurred, how long would we have to get her to the hospital after using one or two epi pens? Thank you.

There is no universal answer to your question. Allergic reactions can vary in severity from mild to serve. The best approach is to prevent a reaction in the first place. Administering epinephrine as soon as possible may prevent progression of a reaction and save a life. If a reaction occurs and epinephrine is administered, head to an emergency room or call 911 and be prepared to administer another dose if symptoms recur.
