Usually every 3 to 4 months!
You shouldn't have to increase the frequency of professional cleaning. You should be cleaning your teeth conscientiously every day.
One of the great advantages of Invisalign is the fact you can remove the aligners and have no wires when brushing and flossing your teeth. It is recommended at least 2x a year. The frequency however is dependent on your ability to keep a good oral hygiene at home. Your Dentist/Hygienist should recommend an additional cleaning per year if they feel necessary. Keep in mind you should also be cleaning your aligners. You can use your toothbrush and toothpaste to brush them as well. There are some aligner cleaning products available for purchase. Brushing your teeth and the aligners after every meal is the ideal.
Every 6 months

A lot depends on your overall gum/bone health, but generally, Invisalign doesn't alter the frequency with which you should be seeing the hygienist for a dental cleaning - especially if you stay committed to brushing multiple times a day and flossing once a day.
That is a great question. I believe that while you are in any kind of braces, conventional or clear aligners, you should be seen for your cleanings every 3 months. The doctor may not come in for an exam every 3 months in an effort to save you the exam fee, but your gums and teeth should be monitored for cleanliness.
We suggest that you have more cleaning during any type of therapy where your teeth are compromised by invisalign trays, appliances, night guards etc
