I am a 56 year old female. I want to know how often should you eat if you have GERD?

You should eat normally with GERD or without GERD. Eat when hungry - typically 3 times per day. Eating more often, but less each time is ok too. What you want to avoid is foods that promote GERD (this can vary but caffeine, chocolate, peppermint are classic exacerbators of GERD), avoid larger heavy, high-calorie meals (that empty the stomach slowly and promote more GERD), and lastly avoid lying down after a meal (the stomach usually needs about 4 hrs to empty completely).
