“How often should you have your IUD replaced?”
After the birth of my first child a little over a year ago, I got an IUD. How often should I have it replaced?

Depends on the kind. Hormonal ones like mirina need to be out in five years. Para gard can be left longer, close to ten years.
It depends what kind of IUD you have. If it is Mirena, it comes out in 5 years, and if it is CU IUD, it comes out in 10 years, and if it is Skyla, it comes out in 3 years.
It depends on the type of IUD placed. It ranges from 3 through 10 years. So refer to the type placed and follow the manufacturer's recommendation. Remember, you may have the device removed anytime you are ready for your next child.

It depends on which kind it is:
Skyla: 3 years
Mirena: 5 years
Paraguard: 10 years
Skyla: 3 years
Mirena: 5 years
Paraguard: 10 years
Answer depends on what kind of IUD (Copper T or hormone IUD) you have in your uterus. Also depends on the country it was placed in. Please see your OBGyn sooner than later so that they can help you figure out if you do not know the kind of IUD you have.

That answer depends on the type of IUD that was placed and their recommended time for removal. You need to get that information from whom ever inserted it for you.

It depends on the type of IUD. Paragard is 10 years. Mirena lasts for 5 years. Some others are less than 5 years.
