This is a loaded question. What I can tell you is every case is different. What I can also tell you is that if anyone tells you a specific number of treatments with absolute certainty, you're getting taken for a ride. My approach, and ALL approaches for that matter, should be entirely patient-centered. Meaning, customized and tailored to the specific individual and condition in question. So, to more specifically answer this questions, we first need to determine an accurate diagnosis as to WHY you are experiencing back pain. You could have a displaced (herniated, bulge, protruded) spinal disc, a sprain/strain, facetogenic (spinal joint) pain, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, or something more sinister (most likely not, however certainly possible). Once an accurate diagnosis has been formed, then specific treatment recommendations can be made. There is no "one size fits all" approach, unfortunately. My best recommendation, get evaluated by a skilled professional to determine the actual cause of why your back hurts. Then we can talk about recovery times, short and long term management, and actual visit frequency and duration. I know this was non-specific, but I do hope this provides some help! If you're in the Youngstown, OH area, I provide free initial consultations to see how best I can help.
Too many variables here to give a proper answer. What are the issues? What is your goal for treatment? What is your current health status? What are your work physicality levels?
