Laser eye surgery, particularly LASIK, has a high success rate:  - Vision correctionAbout 99% of patients achieve 20/40 vision or better, and more than 90% achieve 20/20 vision.  - Patient satisfactionLASIK has a 96% patient satisfaction rate, which is the highest of any elective procedure.  - Repeat proceduresOnly about 0.7-2% of patients need a second procedure. This is often due to the patient's initial prescription, with higher prescriptions having a slightly higher re-treatment rate.  Factors that contribute to the success of LASIK include: Advanced laser systems, Precision techniques, and Experienced surgeons. Some things to consider about LASIK include: - Side effectsDry eye is the most common side effect, but it usually resolves within 648 hours.  - ExpectationsIt's important to set personal vision goals and discuss them with your surgeon.  - Long-term effectsWhile the results are promising, it may take time to see the long-term effects.  - Other conditionsSome conditions, such as hormonal imbalances, pregnancy, or wound healing problems, can cause vision to slowly return to its pre-surgery level.  sent from my Google Glass Edwin Y. You do not indicate what type of laser eye surgery you are referring to. Nor do you indicate for what condition the laser is to be used. Most laser eye surgeries work well and are with modest risk.
Very successful overall
