How to fix a stitch infection?

I have a stitch infection 1 week after the surgery. How to fix a stitch infection?

The infected stitch should be removed, and antibiotic can be prescribed
Many times stitch infections are actually just irritation from the sutures as many sutures cause an inflammatory reaction. If there is an actual infection, many times it may require removal of the suture or antibiotics. It is important if you feel like you have a stitch infection to consult with your surgeon and let them know so appropriate treatment can be started.
Have your surgeon remove the stitch. Most likely this will fix the stitch infection along with some local wound care.
Try 3% Peroxide 3 times a day for about 5 days. The stitch has to be removed as well. It's a foreign body causing irritation.
