A strained paw can be healed with bed rest (at least 2 weeks); however, if the injury is more severe than a strain (i.e. fracture or other injury), proper diagnostics should be performed by your primary care doctor. Additionally, if the pain is extensive, then I would recommend contacting your primary care doctor, so they can prescribe pain-relief medication.
