I am a virgin with trichomoniasis?

I am a virgin and I went to the doctor with obvious signs of trichomoniasis. I don’t know how I got it but they said since I wasn’t sexually active they couldn’t test and they treated me for bv and the antibiotics failed to work (flagyl) and now I have symptoms of PID. I am bleeding in between periods a brownish color and I have abdomen pain but very little pelvic pain they wont treat me because I am a virgin and also a 15 yr old minor what to do?

PID can be caused by bacteria not associated with STI. So, you should see a gynecologist to have a pelvic ultrasound and abdominal examination, followed by treatment to prevent scarring from adhesion of infection. Sometimes, other condoms can mimic PID, such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, GI conditions, etc. The first use to get you seen by a gynecologist familiar with minors, such as a CT pediatric gynecologist.

First of all, you need to be completely honest with your doctor! I have delivered babies for many "virgins." If indeed you are, a small Q-tip can still be placed in the vagina for a test. It can also be done with a urine test. You shouldn’t have PID from trich! You need a thorough evaluation from a woman’s health provider.
