“I have a prolonged period? ”
It's been 11 days and am still seeing my period it is heavy and there are also clots and painful as well. What could be causing this?

Anatomic conditions like polyps and fibroids, as well as hormonal imbalances can cause prolonged periods, an exam, ultrasound and labs with your gynecologist will be able to determine the cause.
It can just be an abnormal cycle with the following being ok. I would suggest getting a pregnancy test to be sure. You will need to see your physician if this continues. Another cause is missing a birth control pill if you are on one.
