Rheumatologist Questions Joint Disorders

I have a severe pain in my joints post my delivery. What could be the cause for this?

I am a 32 year old woman and I delivered my second baby one year back. Ever since my delivery I have been suffering from a pain in my joints which has still not subsided. What could be the reason behind this pain?

Autoimmune conditions such as Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis can develop post-partum

Suggest that you see your doctor and be evaluated
Hello!

Some people develop inflammatory arthritis post delivery. Please seek the attention of your local rheumatologist to get a correct diagnosis and treatment pathway.
Thanks so much!

Many women may have pain after delivery. Sometimes this is due to the change in weight and relaxing of body structures with hormonal changes of pregnancy. The pain could also be due to arthritis or chronic pain of some other nature and if present for more than several weeks, it should be evaluated by someone who can diagnose and treat joint problems.
Pregnancy has been shown to trigger rheumatoid arthritis. Please see a rheumatologist for evaluation and treatment.
Have your doctor run a chemistry test and a Lupus test
