Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT) Questions Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)

I have ear pain?

I went to a dermatologist. He used liquid nitrogen on the ear lobe by the ear canal. The next day I started to experience pain around my ear and at the back of my head. It has continued for a week. I went to a dermatologist and he saw no redness or infection. The pain comes and goes and is intense at times. I'm using 81mg aspirin every 4 hours and hot water on my head at times. I'm a 78 year old male on 100mg metoprolol succinate ER. My last BP is 125/78 with 79 heart rate while having the pain. Any suggestions to alleviate pain?

If not contraindicated, you may try Ibuprofen 600 to 800 mg with food every 8 hours, alternate with Tylenol 650 mg four times a day. Please best option is to go see your primary doctor to be evaluated for ear infection. You may need Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) doctor for consultation for ongoing pain.
