General Practitioner Questions General Practitioner

I'm wondering if I should get these bumps on my head checked?

I have two symmetrical bumps on the back of my head. They are on the lower part of my head about two fingers from my neck. I have one on the left side and a bigger one on my right side. I'm not sure if they have already been there, or just recently popped up. It's hard to imagine I just never noticed them, but I suppose it is possible. They don't hurt and they almost feel bone-like.

From your very short description, it's very likely that these bumps are benign outgrowths from your skull. But any tumor that is new is potentially malign and should be checked. Go to your family doctor as a first step and get his or her opinion.

These are most likely benign lipomas, which can be confirmed at a dermatologist.
