I smell like poop all the time all of a sudden?

I accidentally drank water that seemed to have been contaminated and suddenly started smelling fecal. I smell like I poop my pants all the time even after I take a shower. This issue has lasted for over a year and the smell has only gotten stronger. Later on, after some months, I noticed my body odor can also be smelled from far away. It's very strong, even from the remarks I get. My urine and stool can be smelled from far away. Even after I shower, these odors can be smelled from far away. What could be going on with my body and what can I do to fix this?

You need to get a complete workup for the thyroid gland, liver, or kidney disorders. Metabolic disorders and normal post-pubescent odors are also possible. Another interesting condition is Bromhidrosis. Please see your internist, PCP and you may need to see a dermatologist if general and metabolic workup is normal.
Hi, The first thing that would be in order would be to ask your physician to send stool and urine samples. The next thing would be to make sure you cleansing gently and effectively. If those issues are addressed a complete physical examination and blood work may identify any other issues that may arise.

This is not a GI problem necessarily. It might be a skin or olfactory problem. You should start by seeing a primary care doctor to get a full evaluation. The history and physical exam done on you will help the doctor figure out what tests might help to figure out the problem, and also determine if you should see a specialist.
