Ear, Nose and Throat Doctor (ENT) Questions Emergency Physician

I swallowed a fish bone 48 hours ago. I had no pain until now and it’s chest pain?

I swallowed a salmon bone on Sunday around 2. I didn’t feel it until I swallowed it already. I have had no pain, no shortness of breath, no issues using the bathroom or eating or drink. However, today I noticed I have some chest pain. I do suffer from severe anxiety though so I’m unsure if it’s just the wound from the fish bone, or if it’s stuck or if I’m just afraid.

It would be prudent to have someone look with a scope. However, most of the time it’s the trauma from the fish bone that causes the symptoms rather than a fish bone that’s still there.
Hard to imagine that a fish bone you swallowed just started causing symptoms after 48 hours. However, to be sure you would have to see a gastroenterologist.
