There is a study that relates to this: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22753257/. I am worried as a result. I only used cold water one time.

Please use Luke warm water for nasal irrigation. Slowly you would recover any damage in the nose
You should use boiled water and add salt.
It is highly unlikely that you'll get a bad infection due to one rinse when not using distilled water. Get back to using distilled water for safety and remember to sanitize your Neti pot, or rinse bottle, before and after each use.
